Today's senior session didn't come together as Kamryn had planned it out...Kamryn, was not only scared, but disappointed as well.  The weather was not on her side, and it had rained so hard and didn't let up.  Early, that morning she wanted to cancel her session due to the weather.  However, I convinced her not to cancel, because she had already her makeup appointment, and silently, I was hoping the rain would stop.

Unfortunately, the rain didn't stop and we had to go with plan B.  We went to a local hotel and asked for permission to use their lobby in order to create her portraits.  Since, Kamryn was so worried about the humidity and her hair, we made the best of our time together inside the lobby of the hotel.

Towards, the end of her session, I suggested let's check one more time to see if the rain had stopped.  And, to our surprise it did!  In the distance, we saw nothing but fog, and a perfect sky!  Knowing the weather conditions could change at any moment, we literally grabbed the gear, all of our personal items and ran for the door!

WOW, and that’s when he magic happened!  There is was, a perfect mixture of sky, fog, and not a soul in sight – and Kamryn was beautiful!  Now, Kamryn was so happy she was able to get the outdoor photos she really wanted.  We knew it wasn’t going to last long, and took advantage of every moment.

Suddenly, in the Midst of the Storm, the fog came upon us and our beautiful sky changed.  It was like we were in the eye of a tornado as the wind and fog encompassed us! Then, shortly afterwards, the fog was gone and passed us, we could now finally see the skyline and the beautiful scenery that’d been hidden by the fog.  Yes, and all the worrying she’d done about her hair…well look at the pics below. lol

In the end, we were able to capture such beautiful images.  I think the message is pretty clear -, “Never doubt the outcome even in the midst of the storm”.

Kamryn is a High School senior at University High School Academy and will be attending Clark Atlanta University in the fall...

Shooting Action Shots of Athletes, people and animals moving, and other moving articles make great photo openings. In any case, getting fast movement on a propelled camera can be trying.
